The last time that the 1200-1300 block of Bellaire Place was paved was in 2001. Eighteen years of use had taken quite a toll on the road surface, which had deteriorated into a series of patchwork and gravel. The road was milled on July 1, 2019, and two days later residents welcomed the paving crews. The first series of photos show the initial binding layer being laid down.

The crews returned on July 9 to apply the driving surface. When the job was finished residents were pleased to have a smooth street to drive on rather than something that resembled the surface of the moon and reeks havoc on their car's suspension. They hope that the new asphalt lasts a few years before the inevitable deterioration begins once again.
