Rossmore Avenue - May 1925

Rossmore Avenue - 1925

These photos are from the summer of 1925, and show Rossmore Avenue from Pioneer Avenue to Flatbush Avenue as the street was being paved for the first time. As with most streets in this part of Brookline, the roadway would be covered in Belgian Block, many of which are still in place today. The photo above shows Rossmore Avenue looking southeast from Wedgemere Avenue towards Flatbush Avenue. The tree in the middle of the roadway was eventually removed.
