These photos are from the summer
of 1925, and show Rossmore Avenue from Pioneer Avenue to Flatbush Avenue
as the street was being paved for the first time. As with most streets in
this part of Brookline, the roadway would be covered in Belgian Block,
many of which are still in place today. The photo above shows Rossmore
Avenue looking southeast from Wedgemere Avenue towards Flatbush Avenue.
The tree in the middle of the roadway was eventually
removed. |
