Pittsburgh's Golden Triangle - 1795
A plan of Pittsburgh in 1795 showing the position of the forts, the homes of the citizens and the public buildings. The city today still has many of the characteristics of the old town. The street layout is much the same and the names in many cases are the same still. The small islands dotting the river and the ponds in the village center are an interesting contrast to the present day concrete and steel jungle.
