Pittsburgh's Golden Triangle - 1923
Cloud cover and haze blanket the "smokey city" in 1923. Many changes lie in store for the Golden Triangle in the coming years. Pittsburgh as we see it here will soon begin its transformation into the modern city we know today. It will start with the replacement of the Point Bridge and the building of the three sister bridges on the Allegheny (6th, 7th, and 9th Street Bridges) in 1927, followed by the new Liberty Bridge in 1928.
