Pittsburgh's Golden Triangle - 1976
The country celebrated its bicentenial in 1976 and the Spirit of '76 was alive and well in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The city showed its stars and stripes with many special activities at Point State Park, where the Fort Pitt Museum is located. Re-enactors in colonial and British dress put on quite a show for the public. It was a grand year for towns across America and a fine time for Pittsburgh to show off its new image as a clean and picturesque American city.
