The city of Pittsburgh in the spring of 2000, showing the West End Bridge in the foreground, the city skyline to the right and Three Rivers Stadium on the north side to the left. The city is about to undergo another small facelift, called Renaissance III. Three Rivers Stadium will be razed in order to make room for the Steelers Heinz Field and the Pirates PNC Park. The Convention Center will also be renovated and expanded, dramatically altering the Allegheny riverfront with its state-of-the-art design.
