Bob Daley photos from early-1982 showing the Brookline Cannon at the Veteran's Memorial Park on Brookline Boulevard at Queensboro Avenue. This cannon, a French Model 1917 Schneider 155mm howitzer used by the American Expeditionary Forces during World War I, has stood in the park since 1946.

The photos below show the original white marble bench that was placed in the park back in 1935. The bronze memorial plaque that is affixed to the bench was originally placed in the park back in 1919 and moved to the bench in 1935. Both the plaque and the bench were replaced in 1995. The bottom photo shows Brosky's Sports Center across the street at 962 Brookline Boulevard.
