The members of the 1956 DeBor Funeral Home Prep team were: Bernard Boyle, Larry Kennedy, J. Kress, Donald Hurley, H. Martorella, D. Quade, J. Presto, R. Windhorst, J. Montgomery, J. Murphy, H. Lowe, B. Kress, Gerald Armento, D. Platt, Buddy Auen, Manager James Klingensmith and Coaches Harry Reitmeyer and Harry Connors. The mascot is Jackie Connors. Brookline's 1956 Little League All-Stars won their first two games en route to the Pittsburgh City Semi-Finals, only to lose the third game to Duquesne Heights by the score of 4-1. The photo on the left shows the large crowd at the Brookline Community Center Field for the semi-final matchup. The photo on the right shows Brookline's Hilary Wertz crossing the plate with the home team's only run in the fourth inning. Wertz was driven home on a single by teammate Mike Sunner.
