Opening day, originally scheduled for April 26, was postponed due to rain. On April 27, the season officially began. On the Boys senior circuit, Fiori's Pizza ran all over expansion team Morgan's, 19-6. Boys Little Division Bob Hayes romped over The Medicine Shoppe, 16-3, and in the Minor Division opener, Sullivan's Auto beat West Coast Video 14-7. The high scoring carried over to the Girls side, with Senior Division Party Cake edging Dukes News, 15-11. In the Girls Little Division, Bellisario's squeaked past Miggantz and Labriola, 6-4. In comparison with the other scores around the League this appears to have been a defensive duel.

Rain forced postponement of the Girls Pinto games and also the Boys T-Ball games, as well as the majority of the other scheduled games around the League. Rainouts rescheduled for Saturday were rained out as well. We can blame this week on El Nino and hope for better weather the rest of the season. The boys and girls are having a great time, and extend an invitation to all the parents and friends from around the community to stop by and watch them play.
