The Brookline Little League began the 2005 season with the annual parade from the firehouse on Brookline Boulevard to Sam Bryen Fields. The weather was a bit rainy but that didn't dampen the spirits of the hundreds of boys and girls celebrating the start of another season of baseball and softball. When the parade was finished and everyone settled in, the kids were treated to hot dogs and drinks while their banners were judged. When the festivities were over it was time for the opening games of the season.

The three winners of the team banner competition were:

1st Place - Cookie Lee Jewelry
2nd Place - Demino's Pizza
3rd Place - Moonlite Cafe
