City Cleaning Crews
Here was a familiar site along the lower end of Brookline Boulevard during the spring, summer, and fall of 1975. City water buffalos were called upon to hose down the roadway to clean the accumulating dirt from the thousands of dump trucks bringing dirt to fill in the ravine during the Brookline Park expansion. The dirt from the trucks became an everyday nuisance for motorists, and the city did it's best to keep the street clean.
