The first game on the new Senior field was played in July 1977, won by the Brookline Lions Club over Stebbrook Healthland. The Lions went on to capture the first league title on the new field. Those who played in that particular game remember how odd it was playing on such a large field, especially after the pint-sized field they were used to.
