Classic Cars are nestled in the lower
lot of Brookline Park - October 2008

On October 3, 2008, the Brookline Recreation Center hosted its 4th Annual Autumn Car Cruise. Over thirty brave souls brushed aside the chilly weather to bring their classic vehicles and settle in for an evening of good times with friends and fellow auto enthusiasts. With a fine selection of cars and roadsters to browse, the crowd mingled while classic oldies filled the air and the smell of Milan's "Almost Famous" Frankfurters added that special seasoning.

Votes were cast for the People's Choice Award winner. While raffle prizes were distributed, the votes were counted. When the tally was complete, the people's choice was a 1957 Baby Blue Chevy BelAir owned by Brookline residents Gerry and Bill Cable. The runner-up was a glimmering Chevy Malibu and the "Anything that Rolls" tag went to the All-England Mini-Cooper. God Save the Queen!

It was a fun night for everyone in attendance and the Recreation Center staff would like to thank all of our patrons who came to make our Autumn Car Cruise a fine success. Finally, our thoughts are with co-sponsor Bob Greico, who was unable to attend due to illness. We all wish Joe Bob a speedy recovery and hope to see him soon.
