1998 CitiParks Flag Football Runner-Up
Brookline's
16-Under Flag Football Team Brookline's inaugural season in the CitiParks Big League football program ended on November 22 with a 20-18 loss to Arlington Gym at Pitt Stadium. After advancing to the finals with a 52-31 victory over Warrington, Coach Ladasky's team finished the season with a respectable 6-4 record. Brookline kept within striking distance throughout the contest, holding on as Arlington Gym built a 20-12 lead. Backup quarterback Bruno DeSimone hooked up with Justin Phillips for two scoring passes to account for Brookline's 12 points. With two minutes remaining in the game, Phillips threw a touchdown pass to Steve Barone to pull within two points, but the two-point conversion attempt failed when Phillip's throw to Luke Dempsey was broken up. | `
