Resurrection Teachers Celebrate
October 12, 2008

On October 12, 2008, a special Mass was celebrated at Resurrection Church to honor the Sisters of Charity and lay teachers who taught in the school or were on special assignments at the school over the years. The Mass was one of Resurrection's special events leading up to the church's 100th Anniversary.

Nearly fifty teachers were in attendance, including former principals Sister Harold Anne (1965-1972), Sister Mary Joseph (1972-1975), Sister Anna Marie (1975-1980), Sister Claudia (1980-1987) and Sister Lynn (1990-1996).

As part of their special day, the Sisters were present for the unveiling of a new stained glass window commemorating Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton. The inscription at the bottom reads: "Dedicated to the Sisters of Charity of Seton Hill for their faithful years of service to Resurrection Parish."

The Mass was followed by a social in Father Quinn Hall (the former Garden Room) where the teachers were able to mingle with former students and friends.
