A view of the Point taken in 1916 shows the Exposition Hall and the amusement rides still intact. The country was bracing for its entry in World War I and the steel industry was cranking up to feed the war demand. At this time in history Pittsburgh was still ranked in the top ten in terms of population, and was the undisputed king in terms of industrial output.
