Brookline Boulevard in July of 2011, looking northwest from near the Brookline Library. The crane in the distance is in place to lift HVAC units to the roof of the newly remodeled Mazza Pavilion. Brookline Boulevard is scheduled for a complete reconstruction of the roadbed, curbs, sidewalks and crosswalks. The trolley tracks, still lying under the asphalt, will be removed after 46 years underground. But, in July of 2011, on a hot and muggy day, Brookline Boulevard looks much the same as it has since 1966.
