Pick-up football games are something that has been happening at Moore Park since the first day they laid out a field. It seems like there was a lot more of it back in the old days. Now the kids just pick-up the latest Madden Football game for their XBox and veg on the couch. Thanksgiving, however, has become a traditional day for the Brookline "Turkey Bowlers" to put on their dirtiest pair of sweats and come out for a good old-fashioned game of pick-up football.
