Shulman's Sunshine
Center Coin-Op
Dry Cleaning - 1962
Shulman's Sunshine Center Coin-Op Dry Cleaning business opened on October 26/27, 1962 at 919 Brookline Boulevard. During the two-day grand opening, customers received a free silver dollar. The photo below shows Mrs. S. Shulman demonstrating the simplicity of using the dry cleaning machines. She is putting a man's suit coat into the dry cleaning machine as part of an eight pound load. Savings and convenience made the Sunshine Center an ideal place for dirty work and school clothes, as well as sweaters, dresses, skirts, slacks, suits, bedspreads, blankets, draperies and many other household items that require dry cleaning. * Photo from the Brookline Journal - 10/25/1962 * |
