WEEK #4 - September 15, 2007
8-UNDER
Thomas-Jefferson 14 - BROOKLINE 0
NOTE: TJ took a 14-0 lead into halftime and never really
looked back. After that, the Knights fought them to a
standstill. The defense made a couple mistakes but played
a pretty good game. The offense kept trying but always
seemed one good block away from getting a runner loose.

9-UNDER
Thomas-Jefferson 14 - BROOKLINE 6
Scoring Summary:
Joey Shulik run (conversion failed)
Interception: Zach Wagner
Fumble Recovery: Mark Roell (2)
NOTE: The game started off great with Nick Manuel returning
the opening kickoff to the one yard line and Joey Shulik
punching it in for a 6-0 lead. TJ answered with two quick
scores and then the game entered a deadlock. The Knights
defense played hard and kept the game within reach, but the
offense couldn't get their gears in motion.

10-UNDER
BROOKLINE 38 - Thomas-Jefferson 0
Scoring Summary:
Connor McGinnis run (conversion failed)
Connor McGinnis run (Khalil Sanders run)
Khalil Sanders pass from Connor McGinnis (Michael Roper run)
Michael Roper run (Zach McGrail run)
Malik Petite pass from Tony Manuel (Tyler Parees run)
Fumble Recovery: Malik Petite
NOTE: Another display of dominance. Like Ted Nugent with an
appetite, they showed their keen interest in hunting for
sustenance. They stalked the Jaguars, slaughtered them in the
trenches, then feasted in a frenzy. Connor and Khalil had
another productive day putting points on the board. Michael
Roper finally broke free for a long TD run, and Tony Manuel
matched Connor with a touchdown pass apiece. Tony also had a
nice run for a touchdown, but it was called back on a penalty.

11-UNDER
BROOKLINE 16 - Thomas-Jefferson 0
Scoring Summary:
Christopher Noel pass from Russell Page (Domonique Betton run)
Domonique Betton run (Russell Page run)
Interception: Ricardo Burch and Domonique Betton
Fumble Recovery: Domonique Betton
NOTE: Another excellent outing from Coach Jester's upstarts.
These kids are playing some good football on both sides of the
line of scrimmage. Quarterback Russell Page had another solid
game, hooking up with Chris Noel for a couple fine catches,
including a touchdown. Ricardo Burch and Domonique Betton
ground out some tough yards from the backfield and combined
for three takeaways on defense. Noel dazzled the crowd when he
hauled in a webgem one-handed reception while falling
backwards, ala-Lynn Swann.

13-UNDER
Thomas-Jefferson 36 - BROOKLINE 0
Fumble Recovery: Ryan Mandarino
NOTE: After four games doing the scoreboard, the fifth seemed
like a blur of referee hand signals and Knights on black
horses chasing Jaguars into the endzone. Our Knights did
mount one nice drive towards the TJ endzone early in the
second quarter, but came up short. These Knights need to
sharpen their blades for next week's duel with the Sabres.
The halftime show was pretty cool. The cheerleaders added
this lift-double flip thing to their routine that they pulled
off exquisitely. Go girls!
