BROOKLINE IS HERE
The Knights charge onto the field.
The Brookline girls are ready to dance.
The National Anthem. The
singers did a great job.
Team Captains for the game: Dominic Leonard,
Mason Ventrone, Ambre Hunter, J.B. Nelson,
Quinn Hunter, Jack Sullivan, Marques Watson.
Mason Ventrone had seventy-eight yards on the
day, thirty-four rushing and forty-four receiving.
Aidan Logan and J.B. Nelson
bring down another Jaguar.
The girls did their final halftime routine.
They saved their best for last. Go girls.
These girls put in a lot of time and
practice this year and it showed.
They did a great job all season.
Not everyone gets to perform for
the crowd at the Super Bowl and
these young ladies were excellent.
After a few raw beatings in the trenches
this view could become quite unsettling.
Marques Watson powers his way into the
endzone for two-points. Watson led all
runners with 116 yards on 21 carries.
The Knights defense held the Jaguars to
only seventy-nine yards in total offense.
Jack Sullivan made an acrobatic interception,
snatching the ball out of mid-air. The pick
set up Brookline's game-clinching touchdown.
The Victor and the Vanquished.
SSYFL and Brookline Knights President Joe Nicholas
presents the Super Bowl trophy to Coach Don Helman.
It is Don's sixth championship with the Knights program.
The Knights hoist the Super Bowl trophy.
After last season's loss in the big game,
these kids were not going to be denied.
If the team can stay together, they will
be raising a couple more of these soon.
The girls receive their individual medallions.
The Knights Coaching Staff: Carl Roell, Joe Tongel,
Head Coach Don Helman, Jerry Tuite and Ray Ventrone.
