On Saturday, July 30, 2017, baseball
and softball fans from the Community of Brookline once again descended upon
PNC Park for the annual Pittsburgh Citisports Mayor's Cup Championship Game.
Since 2012, the Brookline Little League Association has been represented by
at least one team each year in the prestigious title games.
This year, the 12-Under Boys Little
League baseball and the 18-Under Girls slow-pitch softball teams came to the
Pittsburgh Pirates home turf to represent the Brookline community. Each of
the two teams were the defending 2016 champions, and expectations were high
for both teams to repeat.
