The Brookline Recreation Center Halloween Party

Halloween Party
 - Oct 2005.

For many years, Recreation Center staffer Michelle "Mickey" Underwood held a Halloween Party at the Rec Center Building, generally the night before the haunting night. There were refreshments and candy for the kids, and crafts to keep them busy.

Mickey left the Brookline Center in 1999 for a Director's position at Phillips Park. In 2005 she returned as the new director in Brookline and the Halloween Party's resumed, in a big way!

On October 27, 2005, the Brookline Recreation Center hosted it's first Halloween Celebration in six years, and Mickey was right in the middle, handing out candy and organizing games and craft tables. It was a fun night for everyone, with nearly 100 kids in attendance.

With much appreciated assistance from the local girl scouts, the Center was alive with activity. All the kids had their fair share of fun and excitement, capped off in the gym by the thrashing of a candy-stuffed pinata and the mad rush that ensued!

The Recreation Center staff wishes to thank everyone who helped out in making this the best Halloween Party the Rec Center has hosted in many, many years. It was a lot of fun, and we hope to do it even better next year!
