St. Pius X parish once sponsored an annual summer Expo. The August fair took place on the school grounds and features games, rides, food and lots of fun. A kickoff parade preceded the festivities. The late summer fest was a great way for the community to celebrate the passing of summer and the start of a new school year.

This photo appeared in the Brookline Journal on August 15, 1974, and announces the fifth St. Pius Expo. Pictured are pastor Reverend Thomas M. Marpes and Rita Miller, committee chairlady. The 1974 Expo was to feature a "giant" parade, starting from "The Cannon" on Brookline Boulevard and ending on the fairgrounds at Pius, on Pioneer Avenue.
