The Liberty Bridge
|
The Liberty Bridge in 1939, eleven years after opening to traffic. In many ways it looks the same as today. Back then, many of the inclines were still in service, connecting commuters to Mount Washington. The days of the incline, however, were numbered. Only two of the old inclines have survived the passage of time, the Monongahela and the Duquesne.
