Here is the 1930 offense for the South Hills High School varsity football team. The Section 2 champions lost to Westinghouse 6-0 for the city championship that year, but returned in 1931 to beat Schenley 7-0 for the title.

Pictured in the photo are:
Backs: Banks, Regan, Sucuop, Rigg.
Linemen: Jim Klingensmith, Blom, Briggs, Coghill, Marcellaro and Bobby Augustino. The seventh lineman is not known.

Note: Jim Klingensmith would one day be the president of the Brookline Chamber of Commerce and a leader in the Brookline community throughout the 1950s and 1960s. Mr. Klingensmith also was the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette chief photographer from 1943 to 1963. His sequential photos of Bill Mazeroski's dramatic homerun in the 1960 World Series now hang in the the Major League Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown, New York.
