From the 2005 to 2015, the
Brookline Recreation Center hosted a series of yearly Car Cruises,
attracting a fine selection of classic vehicles and a host of dedicated
car enthusiasts. The car shows were a big hit among the local citizenry.
Each year the crowds grow, as well as the assortment of vehicles. From
5pm to dark, the park was alive with history. Cruises were held three
times per season; Spring, Summer and Autumn.
A great deal of credit for the
success of the events goes to Recreation Center Director Michelle
Underwood and her good friend Bob Greico. Their tireless dedication
and effort made the Brookline Recreation Center Car Cruises a fun
and friendly place for friends and neighbors to gather and share their
fondness for muscle cars and classic vehicles of all makes and
models.
